We’ll be honest—May caught us a little off guard.
Detached home sales in the Fraser Valley jumped from 311 in April to 404 in May—a solid increase in activity. But here’s the twist: at the same time, the average price for a detached home dropped sharply from $1,545,000 to $1,450,000. Townhomes followed a similar pattern, with sales rising from 272 to 312, while average prices slid from $848K to $826K. Condos stayed consistent in number of sales, but prices dipped slightly from $552K to $545K.
